It worked "ok." It was not the fastest cooking microwave, it's small, it cooks unevenly, the turntable is poorly designed, and the presets are bogus. I would have given this microwave a 2.5-3 star rating until the fatefully day when it exploded. I placed a mug of warm water in the microwave; put the timer to 2:00; and, within 10 seconds I smelled smoke, burning plastic, and hot metal. The bottom right side of my microwave (door and unit) was smoldering and black. I immediately unplugged it and inspected the unit. The inside was largely untouched, leading me to believe an outer component (not my mug/water) caused the problem. Normally I wouldn't expect much from a 2 year old microwave, if it had just died I would have rated higher; but, this microwave didn't 'just die' it exploded, and for that reason I give it a 1 star rating.

Cons - it's small (but really now, you should be able to tell that by the 0.7 Cubic feet) and it's low power so it takes longer - which is why I bought it. After my last Microwave - one of those industrial strength giants kept flipping the circuit breaker in my old building, and I got some angry comments from my super, I bought the lowest watt microthingy I could find, and so far - no blown circuits - so I'm happy, even if it does take 50% longer to cook stuff. And for what this costs - I'm very happy. Other cons are any plates of any real size don't fit and the glass is hard to see through so it's hard to tell when things are starting to boil - but pros (no blown circuits) far outweigh the cons and the price is literally 1/7th of what I paid for my last microwave.

There could be some problems with mounting because you absolutely DO need the recommended space above, behind and to the sides - you can't get away with putting it up against anything if you plan on using the steam feature. Good things: The convention over works exactly as it should - I made a cake and it came out super-fluffy and perfectly cooked in and out, and very moist. Also made a sandwich and the bread was nice and crispy and the tomatoes inside were perfectly cooked.

After seeing that the selection available in the marketplace is poor (We looked at Sears, Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowes, and at a "Factory Direct Appliance" store). All basically sold very few cabinet mount microwave and those that they did have were either a.) small and very cheap or b.) GE Advantium and very expensive ($1200). Since the Advantium has a very low customer rating all over the web, we decided it wasn't worth the money.
